Our mission is to educate citizens on how democratic systems have been exploited. We provide specific, actionable, cross-partisan ways to help repair them. That work rests on three things: knowledge you can verify, strength in numbers, and clarity about what each of our teams is for.

What this place is for. Democratic systems get exploited in ways that are, on the whole, perfectly legal — and the repair work is ordinary, unglamorous and available to anyone. This is where the tools for it are kept.

Whatever you believe and whoever you vote for: if you want this country’s democracy to work, you are in the right place.

The one rule for what goes on the shelf: does it teach you something you keep? Pledges, campaigns and particular bills may be worth your time — they are just not what this room is for, and we leave them off whoever they come from, ourselves included.
